Parenting Support

Forgive yourself for not knowing what you didn't know before you learned it.

~ Maya Angelou

Parenting is really difficult, and unfortunately it does not come with a standard manual. Many of us are trying to learn ways to create boundaries and rules for our children while also creating an positive, secure, and respectful environment in our home. However, with so much information about parenting available in the digital age, it can feel overwhelming. For the neurodivergent parent or the parent with a neurodivergent child there can be an extra layer of complexity in the parenting journey.

I work with parents to provide evidence-based, positive parenting skills based on the developmental stage of your child. Together, we can work to promote secure attachment, open communication, and feelings of joy and delight in the home.

Many parents believe that things would be better if their children would just change. What I know to be true is that the first step to change in the home starts with the adults who are in charge, allowing them to model the behavior they want to see. No parent is ever going to be perfect, but with some guidance and knowledge, we can move closer to being the parents we always wanted to be.
